San Diego State Grad vs Iowa Grad

On a recent flight from San Diego to New York City, a San Diego state Grad looked across the aisle and noticed a particularly well dressed man who was reading the Wall Street Journal.  The SDS Grad asked the man, “Excuse me sir, but would you possibly be a graduate from the University of Iowa?”

The man looked surprised and said, “Well, yes I am, but how would you possibly know that?”

The SDS Grad looked rather smug and said, “Well sir, I do pride myself in being very perceptive, and I noticed that you are so well dressed and I see that you are reading the Wall Street Journal and just by the graceful way that you carry yourself I thought that you might have come from Iowa.”

The Big Ten grad thanked the SDS grad for the compliment and said to him, ” By the way, would you happen to be a graduate of San Diego State?”

The Aztec said, “Why yes I am, but how could you tell?  Is it because of my  kind nature and the compliment that I paid you, or maybe by my perceptive and inquisitive mind, or was it something else?”

The Big Ten grad replied, “No, it was none of those things.  I just noticed your class ring earlier when you were picking your nose.”
